Gigs

Seeing as this page was useless in everyway, it has now been changed from news to gigs.

Upcoming Gigs

Supergrass - 8th October 2005 / Birmingham Academy

Reading Festival - 26th - 28th August 05 / A big field

Idlewild - 24th April 05 / Birmingham Academy

Last week, the crew had an outing to go see a lovely socttish band called Idlewild. The crew being Zain, Jack, Hana, Abbie and Andy. A good time was had although we probably pissed everyone around us off by moshing during the mellow support band, Sons And Daughters. Two of jack's friend joined us, Hannah and Robin. And they were ratheer cool (being Muse fans and all...). Idlewild came on and the crowd went crazy. Many hilarious things were shouted at Roddy and the gang including... 'Do you like Lego?' 'I've got an erection, Roddy' and more. Me, Hana and Jack all crowd surfed (Abbie sort of did against her will but fell down, bless her). Was my first time and was great.

Kaiser Chiefs - 15th April 05 / Birmingham Academy

Last night, I saw the Kaiser Chiefs with Adam and about two thousand trendy kids. It was insanely crowded and there was a hell of a lot of pushing. Support came from Hard Fi and The Cribs, who were quite cool apart from Hard Fi's White Stripes cover *dissaproving glance*. The Chiefs were great though, they put on a good show and played all their best songs, a new one and dueted with The Cribs to end the night. I touched the lead singer of The Cribs' hair (more like groped) and got a cut under my eye somehow. Rock!

The Zutons - 21st March 05 / Birmingham Academy

To celebrate the end of GCSE art, a Zutons gig was attended. Loads of people were there: Adam, Bryn, his sister Ceri, Jack, Rich, Ed, Geroge. Well it wasn't just them, there were like 2,000 other people there too. The first support was 'Misty's Big Adventure' who weren't that great musically but they put on a good performance. For example, a guy in a strange suit dancing around, and someone else putting a whisk up to the mic. Then we had 'The Stands' who were pretty cool, harmonicas and everything. But then... just then... came the Zutons, who were great. The crowd got really jumpy at times and the performace was top notch. All in all, a lovely night. Plus the Reading lineup announced, so glad we're going...

Muse - 19th December 04 / Earls Court, London

It was Muse's biggest indoor gig to date. And the best I've seen. They had smokey fireworky dealies, balloons, confetti, confetti balloons inside bigger balloons. They seem to like balloons. And lights, plenty lights. The last dates of the Absolution tour but hopefully they'll be touring again sooooon. Support from The Zutons and Soulwax. Zutons were amazing, Soulwax were good too although I hadn't heard too much of them before. Again, went with Carrico and Bryn.

Kasabian - 14th December 04 / Birmingham Academy

Great crowd, very jumpy. Got quite far forward and as we all know, as distance forward increases so does fun. There is a positive correlation. As a graph would show clearly. Fun would be measured in kobops or 'fun units'. Support from The Dead 60s. Went with Carrico, Bryn, Tom, George and Rhys. Not a bad evening.

The Hives - 23rd September 04 / Birmingham Academy

The put on quite a show, Pelee can be quite talkative and phylisophical when he wants. Part of the Tyrannosaurus Hives tour which is a veeeeeeeeery gooooooood album. Support from CDOAss. Went with Carrico, Bryn was there but didn't see him till after. All in all, FUN.
